Concern about chemicals in compostable food containers

The University of Queensland researchers are starting to analyse compostable takeaway food packaging for the potential of polluting chemicals getting released back into the environment.

This research with help provides more data about the harmful effect of PFAS chemicals in most of our takeaway packaging in Australia.

PFAS Free Australia first started testing common takeaway food packaging in 2021 and we have continued to keep testing new products in the Australian market, We can see that this research from UQ with provide more support for businesses to take responsibility to provide safer packaging to their customers.
